    St. Louis AAA Blues

    The St. Louis AAA Blues Hockey Association, established in 1986, provides the best young ice hockey players in the St. Louis area the opportunity to skate at the highest competitive level, which is the Tier I or AAA level. Our organization fields 7 teams including the 98,97, 96, 95, 94, Midget U16, and Midget Major teams.

    Philip McRae drafted by St. Louis Blues

    Philip McRae was chosen in the 2nd round on the 2008 draft, by the St. Louis NHL Blues. Phil played on our 2005 National Championship team. Read all about it in the USA Today article, by clicking on the fan to the right. Congratulations Philip!










    Midget Majors To Play In The MWEHL
    The AAA Blues Midget Major team has been accepted into the Midwest Elite Hockey League this coming season. Read all about the new league line up by clicking on their logo to the right.







    Chris Buttler (86) signs with the Buffalo Sabres
    Chris chose to forgo his senior year of college eligibility to sign with Buffalo, joining Jeff LoVecchio (85)(Boston) and Ben Bishop (86MM)(St.Louis), becoming the third St. Louis AAA Blues player to sign with a professional team in the last 34 days.

    Chris' addition to the professional ranks brings the total to 12 St. Louis AAA players presently continuing their hockey careers at the professional level. Be sure to keep track of all AAA player development on the Midget Major website.




    Wes Love has committed to Canisius
    Wes Love (87MM) has committed to Canisius. Wes will join fellow AAA team mate Matt Zuke this fall at Canisius. Wes & Matt are two of the eight players (Ben Bishop -St. Louis Blues/Maine, Tom Brooks- Robert Morris, Robby Moss - St. Lawrence, Brian Reagan - UConn, Graham Sisson - Bowdoin and Ian Tallett - Harvard) from the 2003-2002 Midget Major team that have continued their hockey careers at the collegiate level.

    Jeff LoVecchio signs with the Boston Bruins

    Congratulations are in order to Jeff LoVecchio who has just signed with the Boston Briuns. Jeff was a member of the AAA Blues'85 birth-year team. We wish Jeff great success as we follow his NHL career. Dreams do come true.







    The Hardee's Iceplex and AAA Blues are proud to announce that the USA Hockey's 2009 Tier I & II Under 16 National Championships will be held at the Iceplex. This is the first time that a Tier I National event will be held in the St. Louis Area. More to come on the outstanding event.




    The 14 Fund and the NHL Blues Provide $80,000 to Youth Hockey.
    John Davidson, President of the St. Louis Blues announced at the Missouri Hockey Youth Division Presidents meeting on 9/12/2007 that the 14 Fund and the St. Louis Blues have provided an $80,000 grant to area youth hockey organizations, to build "Learn To Play" programs and attract new players to the game of ice hockey. The goal of the grant is to offer perspective youth hockey players a low cost introduction to youth hockey's learn to play programs, grow the sport throughout the St. Louis area and provide scholarships for players needing finical assistance. The funds will be distributed to the area youth hockey clubs by Missouri Hockey Youth Division.

    The St. Louis AAA Blues thank the NHL Blues and the 14 Fund for this generous grant and wishes the Blues success in the up coming season.
